Kingston Links Golf Course in Melbourne to close in July

Kingston Links Golf course in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne will host its last group of golfers on July 1 before shutting its doors for good.

Golf Industry Central have reported the news that Kingston Links Golf Course in the suburb of Rowville in Melbourne will close in July after the site owners have opted in favour of turning the course into a residential development.

We’re big fans of Erik and Adventures in Golf on Skratch TV and it looks like Australia might feature on upcoming episodes.

Erik and the team have landed in Australia to film a few episodes for season 3 of Adventures in Golf beginning their latest adventure in Kalgoorlie, and as far as we can tell they’re playing the world’s longest golf course, Nullarbor Links as they drive around the Great Australian Bight.

Golfer goes down after goose attack

A goose attacked a golfer and the photos are simply amazing.

A high school golf tournament in Missouri, USA was interrupted by a goose attack last weekend and the incredible photos were shared via Twitter by Blissfield Athletics.

Reportedly this golfer was keeping an eye on a goose and a nest it was protected when a second goose flew in from behind.

How alcohol can affect your golf game

Drinking alcohol on the golf course can lead to better performance for some golfer, for a short time.

Golf Digest posted this interesting video that saw three golfers slowly get drunk while hitting golf balls and making (or at least attempting to make) putts. It’s perhaps too small a sample size, and too small an experiment in general to glean much from but it is an interesting watch nonetheless.
