Kids golf clothing range launched

New clothing range targets golfwear for kids.

Anyone that plays golf will tell you that the younger you start playing, the better you will be. With this in mind, it is surprising how little golf equipment and clothing there is for kids who are taking up the game.

Melbourne’s Tim Nelson thought the same thing as he wandered around the 2009 JBWere Australian Masters and by the time the same event came around the next year, he’d created GolfKid, a clothing brand specifically aimed at junior golfers.

The bright colours make the Golfkid stock is pretty easy to spot at selected golf clubs (which is where I first saw came across them) and has a cool range of kid ball markers too.

It all makes a lot of sense really and Golfkid has already made an impression on one of Australia’s best young golfers, Karl Vilips. He’s the kid who won the 9-year-old division of the US Kids World Championship event earlier this year and he was recently featured on Channel Nine’s Today Show which you can see in the video below.
Check out the Golfkid website for more information.

  • The difficulty of finding kids golf products is the same reason why we started MyKidsGolfClubs.com. We don’t have much apparel yet but we’d like to. We’ll look into carrying GolfKid products on our site.
