Torrential rains on the already water-soaked ground are causing widespread flooding across interior parts of south-eastern Australia. The floods, well documented across Australia’s news outlets are devastating local communities with houses being torn from their foundations, businesses ruined and lives lost.
Large parts of country Victoria and New South Wales have copped extreme flooding in the past few weeks, with high flood waters predicted to soon impact South Australia as the water moves downstream.
The incredible extent of the floods in Yarrawonga and Cowra can be seen in some of the images shared on Instagram below.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club is 75% underwater right now, with Cowra Golf Club also being smashed by flooding. The photos are incredible with several greens now resembling the 17th at TPC Sawgrass.
The clean-up when the rains eventually stops, will take months.
