Alligators caught fighting on South Carolina golf course
Golfers playing the 18th hole at Hilton Head golf course in South Carolina got a nasty shock when they found two alligators locked in an almighty fight in the middle of the fairway.
The group of golfers told The Island Packet that they first noticed the sparring reptiles as they stepped on to the 18th tee.
“We were pretty sure they wouldn’t mess with us, because they were locked in on each other,” said Proffitt, a member of the professional staff at the Hardeeville club. “But it was pretty nerve-wracking seeing that.”
Reportedly the tussle went on for more than two hours before each alligator went its own way.
