We’re always looking for new places to plan for our next golf trip and we recently stumbled upon this great piece laying out some great tips for golf in South Australia’s Limestone Coast.

The Limestone Coast is the region west of the South Australia – Victoria border that includes towns such as Robe, Mount Gambier and Kingston, among others.

It’s a fascinating part of Australia and one that has a number of interesting golf courses, most notably the greatly improved Robe Golf Club.

The Robe Golf Club is perfectly placed just a stone’s throw from the cafes, restaurants and pubs in the main street, with 18 holes of gloriously manicured greens and fairways that are almost too good to tackle. A private members club that offers a friendly welcome to visiting hacks (that’s you), it’s also one of the more picturesque spots to play a round, being perfectly nestled between towering sand dunes and the Southern Ocean.

There are a bunch of other golf courses that we’re now keen to check out including Naracoorte Golf Club, Beachport Golf Club and Mount Gambier’s Blue Lake Golf Course – ” built on the southern crater of Mount Gambier”.

Not to mention the Robe Town Brewery.
