MUST WATCH / Pro golfer attempts to make a hole-in-one with 500 golf balls: video
How many shots would it take for a pro golfer to make a hole-in-one?
The European Tour suggests that the odds of an average golfer making an ace is around 100,000 to 1. But it drops to around 2500 to 1 for the skill level of a professional.
So with this in mind, three-time European Tour winner Dodo Molinari was offered 500 golf balls to see if he could make a hole-in-one at a 145-yard par-3.
With a 9-iron in hand, he set to work and it makes for some torturous, fabulous, compelling viewing. Great stuff from the European Tour.
