Fan steals Luke Donald’s golf ball, photographer tells her to put it back: video

While this tends to only happen once, perhaps twice a year, I’m still amazed it happens at all.

This golf fan found a golf ball as she wandered around the Blue Monster golf course at Doral today. And rather than assuming it belonged to one of the world’s best golfers who were playing in the WGC Cadillac Championship, she pocketed it.

Light-fingered golf fans were the least of the troubles at Doral. The newly re-designed layout now features 14 holes with water hazards and 113 balls found the water during the second round. Extraordinary for a tournament featuring many of the world’s best golfers.

The word “unfair” is being mentioned many times by golfers and fans alike. Among other words that can’t be repeated here.
