Construction of new short course well underway at Barnbougle
Construction of the new short course at Barnbougle is well underway with a few people involved sharing some exciting photos over the past few months.
Shaped into the ridge of dunes that surround 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th holes at Barnbougle Lost Farm, the new Coore & Crenshaw designed short course will have 13 or 14 par-3s and 4s when finished.
Work on the course is forging ahead with construction with one greenkeeper involved with the project saying they are forming “a hole and a bit nearly every week.”
No official word on when this course might open, but at this sort of pace you’d expect early next year to be a very reasonable guess. If not before.

Hope everyone is hanging in there during these testing times. Here’s a little preview of the new drivable par 4 4th @Barnbougle being beta tested by a lucky resort guest back in mid March. #shortcourse #coorecrenshaw #epiccarry pic.twitter.com/aNsKNNaukd

Things are coming along nicely on the new short course @barnbougle Lost Farm. A collection of fun par 3’s and even a couple drivable 4’s all traversing a section of ground running along the upper dunes-lands. Views will undoubtedly be spectacular. #coorecrenshaw pic.twitter.com/qDmiJMGYKo

Finally back home now. Will be in self quarantine until mid April. A few images of the work in progress down under. Hole 8, perched green left-to-right feeder slope. Hole 10, giant drop-shot punchbowl green with multiple bank slopes. Centre bunker will disrupt the direct line. pic.twitter.com/ks8RQAWVjk
