Check out these photos from Greenskeeper’s Revenge day at Australian golf clubs
There is a growing tradition at Australian golf clubs that pits the greenskeepers against the golfers.
Each year, in the week before Christmas, several golf clubs are giving the greenskeepers a license to mess with golfers and set up a diabolical golf course.
Flagsticks in bunkers, haystacks in front of a tee box, and greens riddled with sand buckets are just some of the methods employed by greenskeepers at some of Australia’s golf courses.
Despite the cruel course set-up, it’s a day club members eagerly anticipate with many golfers getting into the spirit by dressing up in Christmas gear and Hawaiian shirts to play their round.
There would be some objections by some Scrooges members but it’s something all golf clubs should consider adding to the yearly schedule.
Murray Bridge, Neangar Park, and Kooindah Waters Golf Clubs shared photos of their recent Greenskeepers Revenge golf days and we couldn’t help but share them here.
