Golf Australia Magazine share their 2023 list of Australia’s Top-100 Public Access Courses

If you’ve picked up the January 2023 issue of Golf Australia Magazine you’ll already have seen their biennial list of Australia’s Top-100 Public Access Courses.

If you didn’t, you can now check them out online at the Golf Australia Magazine website. Golf courses in Tasmania and Victoria fair very well once again but there are 16 courses on the list this year that weren’t in the rankings two years ago.

Each year, in the week before Christmas, several golf clubs are giving the greenskeepers a license to mess with golfers and set up a diabolical golf course.

Flagsticks in bunkers, haystacks in front of a tee box, and greens riddled with sand buckets are just some of the methods employed by greenskeepers at some of Australia’s golf courses.

Large parts of country Victoria and New South Wales have copped extreme flooding in the past few weeks, with high flood waters predicted to soon impact South Australia as the water moves downstream.

Exclusive Sydney golf club enforces “no tattoo policy” on Kings of Leon drummer.

American rock band Kings of Leon are back in Australia to perform a bunch of concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

Before their first gig in Mildura this weekend, drummer Nathan Followill headed out for a round of golf at one of Sydney’s more exclusive golf courses only to be told to cover up his tattoos before playing.
