Bernard Langer cards a 10 after trouble with lava rocks: video

Lava rocks are causing problems for golfers in Hawaii, it was Bernard Langer’s turn on Friday.

Bernard Langer is not only still playing golf, but playing very well. Except for this hole during the opening round of the Champions Tour event, the 2015 Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.

Langer found the lava rocks at the par-5 7th hole and rather than declaring the ball unplayable, thought he’d play the shot. The result wasn’t good and neither were the next few shots.

In fact, the shot that eventually extracted the ball from the lava rocks was a double-hit and Langer eventually holed out for a quintuple-bogey 10. Langer made five birdies across the other holes to cancel out the blemish and card an even-par round 72.

Langer currently trails Jimenez by four strokes.

Zach Johnson also had a few problems with the rocks during the Humana Challenge event in California this week.

  • The commentators reactions to Johnson’s shot is like they just saw somebody get shot by a sniper.
