Welcome to Australian Masters week
The Australian Masters is back at Victoria Golf Club this week with plenty of players aiming to finish the year on a high.
Golf mania returns to Melbourne this week, and while it may not be as big as the Presidents Cup, the Australian JBWere Masters organisers have assembled a fine field of golfers which include the world’s number one golfer, Luke Donald.
In the field with Donald is fellow Englishman Ian Poulter, as well as young Italian golf star Matteo Manaserro, who at only 18 years of age is considered the next big thing to come out of European golf.
A cast of Aussies will be there trying to grab the gold jacket including Greg Chalmers, Geoff Ogilvy, John Senden, Robert Allenby and defending champion Stuart Appleby.
Stay tuned all week for news, views and updates here on the blog as well as via Twitter and at the Aussie Golfer Facebook page.
Keep commenting and let us know your thoughts as we finish the year with the JB Were Australian Masters.
Anyone think Greg Chalmers can make it three in a row? Will Geoff Ogilvy be paired with Robert Allenby?
