Watch Padraig Harrington plays shot from wrong side of OB fence
Here’s something you may not know, you can stand on the wrong side of the out-of-bounds fence to hit the golf ball.
During Friday’s second round, two-time Open Championship winner Padraig Harrington got himself into a spot of bother at the par-5 sixth hole at Carnoustie.
Harrington’s golf ball lay close to the out-of-bounds fence that runs down the left-hand side of the sixth fairway. And rather than try and awkward shot from the fairway side of the fence, Harrington played and awkward shot from the other side of the fence.
Remarkably Harrington went on to birdie the hole. But ultimately miss the cut by five strokes.
