Seve Ballesteros recovery
Last week a golfer was describing a recent golf shot. He used the phrase “a Seve-like shot”.
Without any further description, Aussie Golfer could imagine the situation. A miraculous recovery shot had been made from a tough position. Most probably deep in the rough.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock you would know Seve’s had four brain operations all stemming from a tumour removal back in October. His condition has varied greatly over the past few months but he has now been released from hospital and after reading his statement on the Seve Ballesteros website, let’s hope he’s now on the road to yet another Seve-like recovery.
I think it’s worth reposting the fabulous golf quote attributed to Seve when asked about the narrowing of fairways.
“I’d like to see the fairways more narrow. Then everybody would have to play from the rough, not just me.”

Let’s hope so. Golf needs someone who treats it like an art and invents shot rather than just using a cookie cutter swing to play the game.
Ha. Very well put Mal!
