Ryan Moore slam dunks an ace at the 17th at TPC Sawgrass
Teeing off the 10th hole for his first round of The PLAYERS Championship, Ryan Moore carded an ace at the infamous par-3 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass.
But it was the way it went in that had the crowd in raptures.
Moore sent his ball towards the hole 121-yards away with a gap wedge. The ball smashed into the flagstick about a foot above the hole and disappeared, taking a chunk out of the green on the way down.
This surely must be one of the best places to make a hole-in-one in professional golf, perhaps only bettered by the 16th at Augusta, and maybe the 16th at TPC Scottsdale during the Phoenix Open?
