Richard Green makes incredible albatross hole-in-one during Victorian Open pro-am: video
A remarkable albatross from Richard Green has been caught on camera during the Victorian Open pro-am.
Richard Green has made an incredible albatross hole-in-one at the par-4 15th hole during the pro-am of the Victorian Open.
Green’s drive caught the left green-side trap but the ball skipped out and darted sideways across the green, hitting the flag and falling in the hole. Bree Laughlin caught up with Greeny as he made his way down the fairway where he talked about the incredible shot.
“I saw the tee was up and I’m thinking, oh yeah this is pretty generous”, Green said. “But my drive was on the left hand side, dead-set in the bunker and it’s obviously come out and gone in”.
You may recognise the hole as the member’s 1st tee on the Beach Course at Thirteenth Beach, but tournament organisers have re-routed the golf course for tournament play meaning it will play as the 15th hole this week.
The 2015 Oates Victorian Open tees off at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links tomorrow.
