Miguel Angel Jimenez makes record breaking 10th hole-in-one on European Tour
Miguel Angel Jimenez hascarded his third hole-in-one for the year to break Colin Montgomerie’s record of 10 aces on the European Tour.
The most interesting man in golf holed a 9-iron at the par-3 second hole at Wentworth GC at the BMW PGA Championship overnight. The ace was accompanied by the sheathed sword and backwards shimmy that has already been seen a couple of times this year.
“My irons, they are like darts. It’s nice to have the record,”Jimenez said after the third round that sees him trail leaders Francesco Molinari and Byeong-hun An by four shots.
And for the record, here are the other two aces, firstly at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship in January and last week’s Spanish Open.
