Tiger Woods was at a course in North Carolina early this month to talk about a new course design project. He hits a few ceremonial drives into the trees and calls upon someone to hit it straight. He chooses this kid who nails not one, but two drives down the middle.

Isn’t that cool. Man, if only I were 12 again!
I tell you what is cool, two things;
1. Tiger doesn’t make a stupid statemtent like “I didn’t hit it that good when I was 12…”
and
2. He says to the kid after the second drive and a shake of the hand “well done, I’m proud of you”

You’re right. He does come across as very classy. It’s such a pity we don’t get to see more of the personal Tiger. He’s got a right to his own space I suppose but he may just be more liked (if possible).
