Historic video from the 1932 Australian Open at Royal Adelaide
Royal Adelaide Golf Club posted this great short video (with soothing background music) of archival footage from the 1932 Australian Open.
Check out the shot of the the train going past in the background. Why didn’t he wait ’til it went past?
Mick Ryan, an amateur golfer from Victoria (who also played footy for South Melbourne) won the event by a shot from Fergus McMahon.
McMahon would go on to win it himself at the same venue by a shot from a young Jim Ferrier.
