Convincing the kids to watch golf on TV

Having trouble convincing the kids to watch the US Masters? You’re not alone.

I’ve found a new obstacle in the way of watching early morning golf, and it comes in the form of a small child looking to watch children’s TV.

My latest piece in Inside Golf magazine, “A minor battle for major golf” outlines the issue:

“This may be hard to believe, but the two-year-old in our household is yet to fully appreciate the nuances and subtleties of golf. Just switching channels to catch up on the latest footy scores brings with it cries of derision normally associated with people listening to Celine Dion. I’d hate to think what watching a few holes of golf may produce.”
