What’s wrong (or right) with this picture?
Here is Adam Scott on the practise putting green yesterday…

This photo was taken and posted by Ben Everill today from Crooked Stick Golf Club, home of this week’s BMW Championship. Adam Scott’s form with the putter has been atrocious of late, as Everill informed us all earlier in the week.
Is Scott considering the short stick again because of his form on the greens? Or perhaps he’s aware of an impending change in the rules concerning long putters?
It seems it was neither of these things as Everill tweeted soon after:
Before you get too excited… Adam Scott was just playing around with the short putter. He’s putting in quality time with the broomy now.

It does look like a change to the rules concerning long putters are on the horizon and the stats show Scott’s putting has been poor, but it seems he’ll be using the long putter again this week. A decent week and we’ll see Scott in the final 30-man FedEx Cup playoff event in two weeks time.
