WATCH the official trailer for this new golf movie, The Long Game

Based on the novel, Mustang Miracle, The Long Game tells the story of Mexican-American youths trying to play golf in Texas during the 1950s.

We aren’t very familiar with this movie but some internet sleuthing reveals it received a good response when it premiered at the South by Southwest Festival in Texas in 2023, and according to The Long Game Wikipedia page, is the “film adaptation of Humberto G. Garcia’s 2010 novel Mustang Miracle”.

The story is based on a true story about a bunch of Mexican-American kids who tried to play golf at the all-white country club in their town of Del Rio in Texas.

There is no word of an Australian release at theatres or otherwise but we’ll keep you informed if we hear anything. Check out the trailer below.
