WATCH that Paul Hogan cigarette commercial at Narooma Golf Course
We tracked down the Paul Hogan TV advertisement that gave the 3rd hole at Narooma golf course its nickname.
A few weeks ago we shared Scott Campbell’s drone videography feature on the fabulous Narooma Golf Club situated on the far south coast of New South Wales.
We mentioned how stunning the golf course is and one hole in particular always stands out as the most spectacular. Hogan’s Hole is the 141-metre par-3 3rd hole that requires a shot over a deep ravine to land the ball on the green.
The hole is named because it was the location of a commercial featuring Australian comedian and future movie star, Paul Hogan.
Having never actually seen the commercial in question, curiosity got the better of me and I went digging into YouTube to find it. It’s remarkably difficult to find as it turns out the commercial was made for cinema release only – and the product, Winfield Cigarettes.
