WATCH Adam Scott’s near ace almost end up in the water
Adam Scott arrived at the par-3 11th hole all-square in his match against Sam Burns.
Playing the second match of the WGC Dell-Technologies Match Play event in Austin, Texas, Scott knew that a tight tee shot would give him an upper hand.
Scott’s tee shot was right online and as it turns out, a little too accurate.
The golf ball careered into the lower end of the flagstick and ricocheted toward the water; luckily finishing a foot from the hazard.
Scott would go on to make par and halve the hole. Eventually losing to Burns 1-down after a wayward drive on the 18th hole.
