Tiger Woods is number one again
And just like that, Tiger Woods is once again ranked as the world’s number one golfer.
Tiger Woods won his 99th professional golf tournament today taking out the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill by two shots from Justin Rose.
The win means he replaces Rory McIlroy atop of the world golf rankings and will be at very short odds to win his fifth green jacket at Augusta National in three weeks time.

- This was Woods’ 77th PGA Tour win. Now just five wins behind Sam Snead’s all-time record of 82 PGA Tour victories.
- It was the 8th time he has won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, tied with Sam Snead.
- Sam Snead earned $24,900 for his eight victories. tiger Woods has earned $8,136,000. (Thanks to Ben Everill for this one).
- This is the 11th time he has become the number one golfer in the world and this week will be his 624th week in the number one position.
- Overall, Tiger Woods has won 27.1% of times he’s teed it up on the PGA Tour.
