Ogilvy wins third World Golf Championship
If the circumstances of Geoff Ogilvy’s US Open victory in 2006 is still up for debate by some people, he is fast knocking over these doubters by winning his third World Golf Championship.
He beat Paul Casey 4 and 2 today at the 2009 WGC Match Play Championship in a match he never really looked like losing.
He’s arguably the hottest golfer on the planet at the moment and his form with the putter today was phenomenal. The Sydney Morning Herald has a wrap-up and so too does the PGA Tour of course.
Ogilvy has moved to number 4 in the world and is the title holder at the next WGC Championship to be held at Doral later this month.

Not sure if you’ve taken any notice, but the last time Ogilvy won the matchplay event he went on to win a major in the same year, lets hope this year follows the script from 2006!
