We’re yet to check out the renovation of Sandy Golf Links but it lies at the heart of public access golf in Melbourne. It’s a place that captures fond memories for the 2006 US Open champion, Geoff Ogilvy who has helped bring the course back to life while staying very much accessible to anyone who wants to play golf.
Played recently at Sandringham, over-priced course just because it’s across the road from Royal Melbourne. Sadly, the female staff on duty that day were not customer-oriented. I organize a group of 10 players that play on a weekly basis around Melbourne – to a man, none of us would ever return to Sandringham. Sad, but true.
