Most popular at Aussie Golfer
Every few weeks Aussie Golfer updates what have been the most popular articles over the past month in the section on the right hand side. It’s a way to give readers an idea what others have been reading and give a taste of what the Aussie Golfer blog is about.
It is somewhat ironic that a small, drooling post that was written back in February, 2008 about Cape Kidnappers Golf Course in New Zealand consistently places in the Top 5. Surely readers don’t assume New Zealand is part of Australia do they? When you look at the images of the golf course and it’s location high upon clifftops on the North Island’s east coast, its easy to see why this course (planted firmly in the country of New Zealand) creates a lot of interest.
It’s popularity will only increase from late October this year when it hosts (along with Kauri Cliffs Golf Course) the inaugural Kiwi Challenge skins game. Adam Scott, Hunter Mahan, Brandt Snedeker (Aussie Golfer’s favourite American golfer) and Anthony Kim will be in attendance and vying for a slice of the $2.6 million purse.
There are a number of regular readers of this blog from across the Tasman and I would be interested to know if any have played this course or even considering attending the Kiwi Challenge.
P.S. While we’re at it, who is considered New Zealand’s greatest golfer? Bob Charles?
