Mo Martin makes incredible eagle to win Women’s British Open: video
Mo Martin made a spectacular eagle on her final hole at Royal Birkdale to win the 2014 Women’s British Open final.
Coming to the 18th hole American Mo Martin was trailing by two shots and needed at least a birdie to give herself a chance to make a playoff. She almost holed the approach shot for albatross before rolling in the putt for eagle.
Martin had to wait an hour to see if her 1-under par total was good enough to get into a playoff. IT was better than that. Martin was the only player to finish under par at a brutal Royal Birkdale this week.
The Australian women had a rough time of it this week. Nikki Campbell finished as best Aussie in a tie for 38th place at 10-over par.
