Melbourne golfer shoots remarkable round of 15-under 57

For the world’s best golfers, a score of sub-60 is the holy grail. A Melbourne golfer did it last week, smashing through the elusive 60 barrier.

If you haven’t heard already, you must get across this remarkable story of this young pro shooting one incredible score.

Ben Murphy, who plays off a handicap of plus-4, shot an incredible 15-under 57 during the Saturday comp round at the north course at Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club.

A shot-gun start saw Murphy start at the par-3 7th hole, making birdie at his first two holes. It was an incredible finish though going 11-under through his closing 10 holes!

The score translated to 47-points in the Stableford competition, good enough to win by 10 shots.
