Aussie Golfer readers are in for a treat this week. Australian golfer Matthew Griffin will be writing guest posts after each day of the NZ PGA Pro-Am Championship. Matt Griffin is no stranger to the blogging world with regular updates on his website, but he is also no stranger to golfing success.

Griffin won a number of amateur tournaments on his way to being ranked the third best amateur in the world in 2008 before turning pro and winning the 2009 Fiji Open.

More recently, Griffin is starting to find himself regularly on big tournament leaderboards. He led the field after round one at last year’s Australian Open and had a top-25 finish at last week’s first OneAsia tournament for 2012.

Matthew Griffin is on the rise in Australian golf and is showing some very good recent form. Despite being a Melbourne Demons supporter, it is a pleasure to have him on board this week. We hope to see him in contention come Sunday. Stay tuned for Matt’s updates from The Hills in Queenstown.
