Kings of Leon drummer blasts Sydney golf course “no tattoo policy”
Exclusive Sydney golf club enforces “no tattoo policy” on Kings of Leon drummer.
American rock band Kings of Leon are back in Australia to perform a bunch of concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
Before their first gig in Mildura this weekend, drummer Nathan Followill headed out for a round of golf at one of Sydney’s more exclusive golf courses only to be told to cover up his tattoos before playing.
Followill took to Twitter to express his disgust.
“A Sydney bucket list golf course for me just went on the f**k it list,” Followill tweeted. “I was told I would have to cover up my tattoos due to a “no tattoo policy” Welcome to the 1950’s and a hell of a way to grow the game.”

I will invite them to our show but they will have to show a fresh tattoo to get in.

It’s not clear whether Followill ended up following the rules and playing, but Twitterati continued to speculate where this incident occurred – with most narrowing it down to one of two.
Meanwhile, Followill found a solution for the crisis.
