Air New Zealand have launched a new take on in-flight entertainment ahead of next week’s NZ PGA Pro-Am Championship.
Air New Zealand have launched the 30,000ft In-Flight Putting Challenge to celebrate their sponsorship of the NZ PGA Pro-Am Championship to be held at The Hills course in Queenstown next week.
It what they are claiming to be a world first, Air New Zealand will be running a putting competition down the aisles of selected flights between Auckland and Queenstown. Passengers sign-up before the flight and attempt a few putts at 30,000 feet!
As the video below says, the plane flies slightly nose up so all putts will be down-hill with not a lot of room to take your normal stance. I’m guessing belly and long putter’s may be banned from this event.
