Hole-in-one insurance in Japan: Adventures in Golf
Adventures in Golf is a must-watch online series exploring the quirky world from golf in the slums of Mumbai, nude golf and prison golf.
In Japan if a golfer makes a hole-in-one it’s customary (required) that they throw a big party for all their friends. I’ve often heard the story told Japanese golfers often take out insurance for this scenario so they are covered for the costs.
It turns out this is true and documentary film maker Erik Anders Lang takes a closer look at the practice of taking out hole-in-one insurance in Japan in an episode from his online series Adventures in Golf via Skratch TV.
Lang does a superb job of bringing wonderful characters to life in this quirky golf series, check them all out over at Adventures in Golf.
