Golf Month tees off in Australia with these wonderful videos
Organisers of Australian Golf Month have captured the essence of golf in the superbly made videos about the everyday golfer.
October is Golf Month in Australia and as part of the launch, Golf Australia have released a number of short video documentaries that capture what golf means to many Australians.
Nearly 400 clubs and golf facilities across Australia will be opening their doors and running special events throughout October encouraging more people to play the game from newcomers, lapsed golfers or those just wanting to try out a particular golf facility.
Golf Australia chief executive Stephen Pitt urged all golfers to play their part by sharing their favourite destinations and reasons why golf is an integral part of their lives.
“People love our great game for so many different reasons and our best advocates – Australia’s golfers – love the chance to share their stories,” he said.
“This year’s campaign asks golfers around the country to share on social media or among friends their tales of family, fun and fitness, or simply the magical surroundings of Australia’s golf courses.”

We think this has been succinctly captured in these videos and we particularly like Mark’s comment in this video: “Perhaps unlike other sports, no polygraph test reveals the strength of human character more than a round of golf.”
