GOLF Link Race Series returns for 2011/12
The GOLF Link Race Series is back and is being held across four states this year; New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.
The series is managed a little like the European and US PGA Tour’s in that golfers are awarded points depending on the results of each event, and contribute towards an overall Order of Merit.
A series of qualifying golf tournaments held at different courses in each state throughout the summer. If you play well enough and earn enough points on the Order of Merit, you can earn a spot in the State final.
For example, the South Australian state final is being played at Royal Adelaide!
In addition to previous years, all state winners earn themselves a spot in the first Race Series National Final to be held in the Hunter Valley at Cypress Lakes Resort.
A few events have already been held but there are plenty more to go across the summer, and at the very least, it is a great way to play some special golf courses.
