Gary Player to appear nude in ESPN magazine

Gary Player is reportedly going to appear nude in the ESPN Magazine ‘Body Issue’ due to hit the shelves on July 12 in the US.

The annual issue often features a golfer or two (Camilo Villegas for example) that features a whole range of athletes from different sports but not surprisingly this is the first time a 77-year-old golfer is set to pose naked.

Player remarked on the news via his Twitter account:

I was at first hesitant, but @ESPNmag‘s Body Issue celebrates the human body. No matter what your age, we should all look after ourselves!

I know I’m no Olympic athlete but have worked hard to look after myself. Hopefully @ESPNMag Body Issue will inspire others to do the same.

The nine-time major champion from South Africa was always ahead of his time when it came to fitness and Player is still as fit as a fiddle.

So why not I suppose?!
