INCREDIBLE PHOTO Waves crash behind golfers in Sydney

The search for the best golf photo of 2023 may be over after this incredible photo was captured at St.Michael’s Golf Club.

The winter swell arrived with a bang today with a 7-metre swell smashing into Sydney beaches. Only the stupidest bravest surfers tried their best to catch one of the massive waves, while most just watched on from the safety of the cliff tops.

Down on the clifftops of St.Michael’s Golf Club, six teams representing each Australian state were practising in icy conditions and 70 kph gusts of wind ahead of this week’s Golf Australia Interstate Teams Matches.

The three-day event will begin on Tuesday when winds are expected to die down a little with the forecast predicting winds of up to 40 kph.

Golf NSW‘s David Tease was on hand to cover the practice round in difficult conditions and captured this incredible photograph of members of the NSW team practising on the green of the par-5 13th hole at St.Michael’s.

The search for the best Australian golf photograph of 2023 is probably over.
