A spectacular drone show and Matt McCarty’s breakthrough win highlighted the return of the PGA Tour to Utah at the 2024 Black Desert Championship.

The PGA Tour’s return to Utah for the 2024 Black Desert Championship wasn’t just about golf—it featured a stunning drone show that captivated fans and took full advantage of the breathtaking surroundings at Black Desert Resort.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Utah desert, the drone display lit up the night sky to celebrate the Tour’s long-awaited comeback to the Beehive State, its first since 1963.

On the course, it was Matt McCarty who stole the spotlight, capturing his first PGA Tour victory in just his third-ever start. The Scottsdale native shot 64 on Saturday and 67 on Sunday, finishing with a 23-under score to win by three shots over Stephan Jaeger.

McCarty, who won three times earlier this year on the Korn Ferry Tour, continued his winning streak on the bigger stage, overcoming a nervous three-putt on the 12th hole to secure the inaugural Black Desert Championship title.
