Major championship golf returns this week with 2020 PGA Championship

Major golf is back this week, albeit without spectators and with a few withdrawals due to COVID-19 concerns.

The 2020 PGA Championship begins this week at Harding Park in San Francisco marking the first major golf championship of the year.

Several golfers have withdrawn due to coronavirus concerns (Francesco Molinari, Padraig Harrington among others), and one (Brandan Grace) has withdrawn because of a positive test to COVID-19, but the golf will go on.

Brooks Koepka wins fourth major, claims PGA Championship by two strokes

Brooks Koepka now has four major championship victories. He now has just as many major victories as Ernie Els and Rory McIlroy.

American Brooks Koepka has claimed the 2019 PGA Championship by two strokes ahead of fellow countryman Dustin Johnson.

The victory was Koepka’s fourth major championship win in his last eight starts and his third in the last five, and becomes the world’s number one ranked golfer.
