Zunic and Bland upstage big names at Australian PGA Championship / Round one video highlights

Sergio Garcia and Marc Leishman were upstaged by a couple of lesser known Australians on the opening day of the 2017 Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines.

Adam Bland and Jordan Zunic have stolen some of the limelight from the more well-known golfers on the opening fay of the 2017 Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast

Zunic holed a pitch shot for eagle on the par-5 ninth hole to finish his day at 6-under par 66 just moments after Adam Bland got into the clubhouse on the same number after a bogey on his final hole the par-4 18th.

Marc Leishman honoured with Greg Norman Medal

World Number 13 Marc Leishman has been bestowed Australian golf’s most prestigious individual honour; the Greg Norman Medal.

Australia’s best performing, male or female, golfer on the international stage in 2017, Leishman won the coveted award following in the footsteps of Jason Day who won the Greg Norman Medal in 2015 and 2016.

Golf is back on free-to-air this week with Channel 7 covering the Australian PGA Championship from Royal Pines on the Gold Coast.

In a major coup for Australian golf, Masters champion Sergio Garcia will tee up at the 2017 Australian PGA Championship. at Royal Pines RACV Royal Pines Resort from 30 November to 3 December.

Sergio Garcia has confirmed his appearance at the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines RACV Royal Pines Resort (30 November to 3 December) that will see the Spaniard play his first tournament in Australia since 2010 when he played the Australian Masters.
