Brandt Snedeker shoots 10th sub-60 round on PGA Tour: video highlights
Brandt Snedeker has etched his name into PGA Tour history becoming the 10th player to shoot a sub-60 round.
There was a time when anyone shooting a sub-60 round on the PGA Tour was very rare and very big news. But they seem to be coming faster than ever now.
Today there was another one making it the third successive year it’s happened on the PGA Tour, and the fourth in the last three years.
Brandt Snedeker is the latest name to join this illustrious club after carding a sub-60 opening round at the Wyndham Championship.
Snedeker’s 11-under par round of 59 included a bogey on the first hole, but was capped off by a sensational 20-foot birdie putt on his final hole (the 9th) to etch his name into history.
There is absolutely no doubting this is incredible golf. Particularly when you consider it was four strokes better than anyone else on course.
But it is worth noting that no one has shot a sub-60 round on the European Tour yet. Easier courses on the PGA Tour? Lower par? Better golfers? A combination of all three?
