Ball stuck in tree, then unstuck, leads to craziest par you’ll see all year
Check out this crazy par from Steve Flesch during last week’s Champions Tour.
American Steve Flesch hit his tee shot left at the par-3 17th hole at Newport Beach Country Club during round one of last week’s Hoag Classic. And unfortunately it came to rest up in a tree.
Flesch and his caddie somehow were able to identify that it was his golf ball and set about take a drop for an unplayable lie.
But as they were doing so the golf ball became dislodged and fell out forcing Flesch to scamper out of the way.
Now rather than playing his third, Flesch was playing two and almost jarred it for what would’ve been a remarkable birdie. The resulting par was still incredible.
