Adam Scott has Steve Williams back on the bag at Australian PGA Championship: video

Adam Scott chatted to the press ahead of the Australian PGA Championship yesterday and revealed why Steve Williams was back on the bag.

Adam Scott is back in Australia to play the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland this week.

After flying in on Sunday and quickly seeing his parents on Sunday, Scott is now focused on winning another Joe Kirkwood Cup and has a Steve Williams back carrying his golf bag this week.

And it sounds a lot like Williams may be looping for Scott more often next year.

“He’s not back with me full time. If we continue on to work together past these two weeks – which is the intention – he’ll be on like a job share with Greg,” Scott said. “The reason for that is some of the changes to the PGA Tour schedule next year.”

Scott hinted that the emergence of LIV Golf has changed his plans for next year despite not choosing to play in that tour.

“Doing the [caddie] job share will work will work nicely, especially with two guys who live on the other side of the world to the [United] States,” said Scott.

“And speaking for myself I don’t live in the States but I’m spending way more time in the States next year just to think I’m going to compete seriously I can’t be flying all around the world  playing against guys who don’t.”
