2014 US Women’s Open: 11-year-old Lucy Li’s press conference video

The US Women’s Open youngest ever qualifier, Lucy Li faced the press yesterday to answer questions about whether she’s ever thrown a golf club, her nerves and expectations this week at Pinehurst.

The press conference is strange to watch. Li twists in her chair and giggles her way through it like any 11-year-old would.

At just 5′ 1″ tall, Li will no doubt struggle this week on a long testing Pinehurst layout but it truly is one of the great things about golf, it transcends age and there is no doubt we’ll be seeing much more of Li in big golf tournaments in the decades to come.
