2016 US Open: Australian TV Times

FoxSports have all the live coverage of the 2016 US Open from Oakmont CC.

US Open_2016The world’s best golfers will be teeing it up at one of the most difficult US Open venues this week as major golf returns to Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Seven Australians arrive at Oakmont with Aron Price working his way into the field through qualifying last week. Price will be joined by world number one Jason Day, Adam Scott, Marc Leishman, Cameron Smith and 2006 US Open champion Geoff Ogilvy.

Oakmont last hosted a US Open in 2007 when Argentina’s Angel Cabrera outlasted Jim Furyk and Tiger Woods by just a shot with a four round score of 5-over par. Expect similar high numbers this week.

You can watch all the action on FoxSports with +10 hours of coverage every round and reports of drones and lots of VR added to the telecast this year.

Murdochs greed will mean a significant reduction in the interest and attraction of golf for young kids. There is virtually no live golf on free to air TV in Australia, and inevitably golf will suffer.

Couldn’t agree more. I have watched much golf on free to air. We are NOT going to get foxtel for the rare times I am still for long enough to watch other people play the sport I love. Peter Northbridge Australia
