Watch Matt Kuchar play backward chip-shot at PLAYERS Championship

Kuchar really only had two options to play this shot; take a drop or play it backwards.

Matt Kuchar missed his first cut for the year at The PLAYERS Championship but before he did, he tried playing a crazy backwards chip shot at the infamous par-3 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass.

Kuchar was right on the cut line at the time and somehow is ball found the rough on the path leading to the island green. With a spot on the weekend at stake, Kuchar did the only thing he could to get the ball on the green.

Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to make par, or make the cut.
