Aussie Golfer’s Adelaide correspondent Paul “Cheese” Arnfield is our guest this fine Friday afternoon and makes a good point about the former US Open champ. Take it away Cheese:
What’s happened to Geoff Ogilvy lately? The 2006 US Open Champion and second highest ranked Australian (behind Adam Scott) has not been sighted at all so far this year. In the four events he has played this season he has missed the cut on three occasions and was defeated in the first round on the Accenture Matchplay tournament last week. His ranking points for the year to date is a paltry 2.05 (from the Matchplay event) taking him out of the worlds top ten and sending him at present to 17th in the worlds ranking.
Here’s hoping he pulls his finger out and progresses to the weekends action at this weeks PODS championship at Innisbrook.
