Rory McIlroy throws and breaks his 3-wood: video
After a great Friday, Rory McIlroy didn’t have the same experience during the third round at the 2016 Open Championship.
With three bogeys in his first three holes, McIlroy was getting a little frustrated and when he didn’t hit his three-wood the way he would have liked at the par-5 sixth hole at Royal Troon, he let out his anger on the club.
McIlroy birdied the hole but carded a 2-over 73 to see his hopes of another Claret Jug disappear.
