Presidents Cup teams visit The White House: video
The 2013 Presidents Cup teams were honoured at The White House by US President Barack Obama yesterday.
The USA Team soundly beat the International team at the 2013 Presidents Cup in Ohio last October and both teams were greeted at The White House yesterday by President Barack Obama – the honourary chairman of the tournament in 2013 and 2009.
Marc Leishman and Jason Day were both donned in their suits for the official event – both Aussies finished with a winning record in a losing side in Ohio with the International Team eventually losing 18.5 to 15.5.
The notable absentee from the official engagement was world number one Adam Scott who is not playing the Quicken Loans National tournament this week which is near Washington DC at Bathesda in Maryland.
The 2015 Presidents Cup is still a long way away and will be held in South Korea in October next year.
